REFLECTION and DOCUMENTATION SUPPORT
Community Works helps schools and educational initiatives to build and sustain reflective practice within their work.

We use a process that ranges from coaching individuals or groups in telling their stories to actually doing the documentation in cases where the story is compelling but a writer is not available.

In a workshop setting, teachers work with a reflection coach to reflect on and write about their experiences and teaching methods. This technique helps teachers develop a practice of reflective documentation. A goal of these workshops is to give teachers, students, and community volunteers the opportunity and the guidance to reflect on and document their work, and eventually to share it with other educators in the field. Often, written reflections begun or completed in these workshops appear in Community Works Journal and on this Web site.
